Me Before We

I was browsing through a calendar of events book and stumbled upon February 13th. The event listed for this date is called "Madly in Love With Me Day." The theory behind the day is that you have to love "me" before you can love "we."

This year, I’ve decided to take this event to heart. I went to my favorite section of the library and found a book called I Like Myself by Karen Beaumont. This book was just what I needed to bring a smile to my face and enjoy a little chuckle. So, as you prepare to get your sweetie that box of chocolates, remember to take time the day before to evaluate yourself positively.

This is a new way of looking at Valentine’s Day for me.
