Marco at Pisa
July 26, 2011
Today, we arrived in Italy. As we drive down the road, there are hills on one side and the sea on the other. We spent some time in Pisa today, and I’m feeling a little lopsided. I don’t know who built this, but there was a major design flaw! However I guess it’s been this way for centuries, and they’ve tried several times to keep it from falling. Supposedly, Galileo dropped different weights from the top of the tower to test theories of gravity. I hope no one was down below. You should see all the crazy tourists taking pictures like they are holding up the tower so it won’t fall over. The tower stands next a pretty church, and it is leaning too. What’s with the ground around here? I think I need a safer place to be.
