Mao's Last Dancer
May 31, 2012
One of the many reasons I love working at the Library is when customers come in raving that I’ve just got to see that movie or read this book that they just finished.
I’m so glad that I took the advice of one of our Blue Springs South patrons, and I watched Mao’s Last Dancer by Bruce Beresford. What an awesome DVD! If you like an excellent, true story set in China and America, and if you want to laugh and cry and enjoy a movie all the way through, you’ve got to see this! Written about a boy who was gripped by a communist government, he overcomes not only them but many other obstacles to shine forth--this is the movie to see!
Love it, love it, love it! Place it on hold today!
