Making the Kindle + OverDrive Combo Easy
January 05, 2012
I'm a pretty tech-savvy person. I'm the one people call when they have computer problems, the one who wires our network at home, and the only person to keep all the cords from our game systems and DVD player straight.
But let's face it, even us tech wizards have something that just seems beyond our skills and requires a bit of visual aid. Which means, we totally understand when you're about to rip out your hair over a new Christmas Kindle that you can't seem to get any books on.
As many of you know, our online eBook loaning system OverDrive is now available for the Kindle. But despite knowing that, getting the book to your Kindle still might be a tricky matter.
Well, my tech mastery secret is the following- online video tutorial. The following is a very simple walk-through of how to get your book from OverDrive to your Kindle!
For our library system, all you'll need is your library card (the handy dandy number under the barcode on the back)! Armed with that, your Kindle, and a computer, you'll be enjoying eBooks in no time!
For those who'd love to have in-person assistance with your Kindle, Nook, or any other eReader, we're offering classes. Join us on Monday, January 9th at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Now, with the help of our friendly online video tutorials and perhaps a little hands-on help with a class, we'll all be downloading eBooks in no time!
