Make a Splash This Summer
June 09, 2010
If you are looking for economical ways to spend this summer with your kids, make sure to get them signed up to participate in this year’s Summer Reading Program.
The program runs from May 24 through July 31, and encourages recreational reading for kids of all ages. Prizes based on the number of minutes spent reading can be earned, so make sure to sign up online.
The Blue Springs South Branch also has a number of fun, free family activities in store all summer long. For kids, the excitement kicks off on Thursday, June 3 at 2:00 pm with a puppet show featuring the stories of Brer Rabbit. Throughout the summer, come to the branch to experience the Stable T. Farms Petting Zoo, a magic show, face painting, a juggling act, and more. Even KC Wolf will be here for a visit on Thursday, July 29 at 2:00 pm.
Teens will enjoy a free movie screening, a twlight-themed costume ball, a shaving cream war, and a giant banana split party on Saturday afternoons throughout the summer.
Make this summer fun and enriching for your family. Visit the Blue Springs South Branch today!
