If you celebrated Christmas in July, then it’s time to celebrate the new year in August. This is a great time to start losing weight and getting healthy. One of MCPL’s newest databases, GymAmerica, can get you started with a custom diet plan and fitness tracker. The online personal trainer/nutrition system creates exercise and diet plans based on your individual needs, goals, and schedules.
GymAmerica has a wealth of recipe and exercise suggestions that you can use to create your own program to meet your health and wellness goals. There is a comprehensive workout tracker loaded with hundreds of instructional videos and fitness challenges. The diet tracker helps you stay on track with a nutrition scorecard and weight and BMR trackers. You can even share your fitness goals with friends and track each other’s progress, or work together to meet a joint goal.
My favorite part of GymAmerica is their app. Many people just don’t have the time to sit down at a computer every time they work out or eat, but with the app, you can track your progress as you go. GymAmerica’s free app is available for iPhone and iPad devices. So if you’ve lost track of your New Year’s Resolutions, it’s time to make some Mid-Year Resolutions.
