The 2012 Summer Olympics have begun in London, and I am so excited! From the running of the torch to closing ceremonies, I absolutely love watching the Olympics. My very favorite Olympic event is figure skating, but since that is reserved for the Winter Games, I’ll be watching the gymnastics competition and anything in the pool. Across the world, families will sit down and watch their country’s athletes participate in their favorite sports as well.

This year, though, we’ll be able to enjoy the Games like never before. They’re going mobile! The London 2012 apps will allow us to keep the competition in our pocket and access events at any time. Officially, London 2012 is offering two apps: Join In and the Results app. The Join In app will keep us up-to-date with the celebrations and activities surrounding the Olympics, while the Results app provides all the latest news, schedules, and results so we don’t miss a thing. With these two tools, we’ll be able to share in the excitement of London 2012 anytime, anywhere. We truly are a global community! Will you be watching?
