Literary Lodging

Ever get tired of staying at the same old hotel/motel chain over and over again? Same boring layouts, same boring decor, same boring everything!
Well, if you're headed to Saint Louis, there's a lovely place to stay that is anything but boring.
Themed after an old English Inn, The Cheshire is a beautiful place to stay. Each room is dedicated to an English writer, playwright, or poet and features a biography of the person and a copy of their work in the room. During my stay, I was in the Alexander Pope room and read up on his copy of works. Needless to say, it's a great place to go for people who love literature!
They also have specialty themed suites with the entire room being themed around a famous piece of English literature (E.M. Forster’s Passage to India has never looked like such a fun place to stay!). With the perks of morning breakfast, free Wi-Fi and daily tea service, it’s right up there with the usual fare of Holiday Inn and Best Western hotels but with the added appeal of a unique lodging experience.
So the next time you're across the state from here and want to brush up on your Shakespeare, Bronte or Austen, check this place out!
