The Library: Still a Great Place to Study
July 25, 2013
In the past few years, MCPL has seen a lot of changes. With all these changes, some of you may be wondering if the Library is still a good place to study. Absolutely! On most days, you should not have too much trouble finding a quiet place to study during the coming school year.
Here are a few other reasons why the Library is a good place to go for studying needs:
- Branches open evenings and Saturdays - While some branches keep different hours than others, all of them have at least one night a week where they stay open until 9:00 p.m.
- Library Staff - Don't let the arrival of checkout stations fool you into thinking that our staff is not still available to assist you. If anything, these machines will give us more time to help you find studying materials.
- Computers - Need to look something up as part of your study time? Our library branches have computers available for you to do that, usually just a few steps away from where you’d be sitting.
- Fun Stuff - When you’re done studying for an assignment or test, you should have the means to have a little fun. If you’re at the Library you can check out a book to read for recreation, attend a program, or check out the branch’s Teen Section, if there is one,.
Whether you are studying by yourself, or as part of a group, the Library is still a great place to study and have fun.
