Library-By-Mail for the Homebound Service
January 22, 2013
This is one of the services of Mid-Continent Public Library that many people may not know about, and I think it’s great! It’s for customers who can’t get to one of our branches because they can’t drive or have health problems, either permanent or temporary. They also have to live in the MCPL district, which covers most of Jackson, Clay, or Platte counties.
If you are in need of this service, contact the Library-By-Mail office by calling 816.503.4175. They will help you choose books, DVDs, or audio/visual items and then mail them to you. You can check out up to 20 items at a time and keep them for a customized time. When you're through with them, just mail them back in the included envelope at no charge.
So tell any friends or family that might need this service that it’s available and let them have the same opportunity to access the Library.
