Lenard the Grasshopper: a Poem
September 08, 2010
Lenard the grasshopper
Was quite the heart stopper
He made all the ladies swoon.
But on one fatal date
He met Sylvester the snake
Who hated Lenard's swoony tune
So down Lenard went
Into the dark, dark pit
And Sylvester's stomach he did hit.
Sylvester the evil snake,
Who hailed from Smithville Lake
Was one day looking for some more chuck,
When he was hit by a semi truck.
His fragile vertebra snapped,
Now he's in for a very long nap.
I'm sure there is a lesson to be learned
From this tale that you just heard.
I'm not too sure what that might be
So I'll leave that part up to thee.
