Lee's Summit Summer Shaving Cream

I’ve got an equation for you to solve: 2 library clerks + 35 kids + 1 nice day + 25 cans of shaving cream = ????

Hopefully your math skills have not gotten too rust over the summer, and you figured out the correct answer:  1 epic  Shaving Cream War! 

On Friday Aug. 6, we at the Lee’s Summit Branch hosted a shaving cream war that won’t soon be forgotten.  In fact, it will go down in library history as one of the messiest, foamiest, most insanely awesome, shaving creamiest, shaving cream wars of all time.  Shaving cream “pies” flew, the hose sprayed, and fun was had by all.   I even saw a shaving cream mohawk or two!  By the end of the afternoon, no one was left un-creamed.  Some were so covered when all was said and done, that I couldn’t even recognize them.   I’m pretty sure I will smell like Barbasol into the fall.  What a way to end the summer!  A big thanks to all who attended and helped make it such a fun afternoon!  And special thanks to Karen, the wonderful mother of one of our participants, for helping us out and for being such a good sport!
