Learn While You Play
May 30, 2012
LEGOs seem to be a hot topic right now. With the opening of LEGOLAND at Crown Center and various news stories on the vigorous application process to work for LEGO, it seems like those little red and yellow bricks are everywhere. From simple towers to entire kingdoms, LEGOs spark the imaginations of kids and adults alike and have done so for nearly 100 years.
Did you know that LEGOs are more than just toys, though? Here at the Library, you can find various books on how to build with LEGOs and other creative ideas, but you can also learn robot programming and the basics of architecture and design. It’s a great way to learn while you play.
So, as school comes to a close and those impending bored blahs get ever closer, check out the library’s selection of LEGO resources and get inspired to be creative this summer.
