Looking for something fun to do in August? Come join us at the Library and learn the game of chess. Research says that chess improves test scores on math and reading! Have fun while learning about chess moves, important rules and game etiquette, strategy, openings, endgame, and tactics. Nationally rated chess coaches, Frank Whitwell and Ken Fee from the Kansas City Chess Club, will be your teachers.
Learn to Play Chess is a 4-week class: August 1, 8, 22, & 29th @ 6:30 p.m. Recommended for ages 4 – 17. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
