Laurie King Mysteries
July 29, 2010
Mystery abounds in Laurie King’s newest book, The God of the Hive. The tenth in the series dealing with Mary Russell (and Sherlock Holmes, my dear Watson) picks up right where the next most recent novel, The Language of Bees, ends.
Check out Laurie King’s website (including a blog – because who doesn’t love a blog) for excerpts, summaries, and reviews of this series and her other works. The library staff members who have read this series approve, but know in advance that you’re getting into a very descriptive writing style – it is, after all, written in the same vein as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s own Sherlock Holmes stories.
