The Latest From Your Friendly Neighborhood Book Club
April 25, 2011
Hello, my name is Jennifer and I am in charge of North Oak's Book Club called A Novel Idea. This week we will be discussing Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World by Vicki Myron. The most interesting aspect of this book is the fact that, despite the title, it is not your typical "cat" book. It is, in fact, a book about a small Iowa town called Spencer, and how one cat could change the whole town's outlook on itself and its place in the world.
If you are interested in discussing this book with us, please join us Wednesday, April 27th at 7 p.m. at the North Oak Branch. A Novel Idea meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. Our next book will be Widow of the South by Robert Hicks.
