Justice League Meets the Apocalypse

January 14, 2011

I picked up a wonderful book not too long ago titled Relentless by Robin Parrish. Reading the flap, it sounded like the author took a comic strip and just turned it into a novel. As I began to read through it, I realized this was the best description for the book. Full of interesting twists, normal people turned superhuman, and all sorts of disasters going on in the world, the Dominion Trilogy (Relentless is the first book) was a great read that both my husband and I enjoyed. This, by the way, is saying a lot since my husband does not read fiction! Imagine my surprise when I looked at who published this wonderful adventure story, it was none other than Bethany House. For those who are not familiar with Publishers, Bethany House is a well-known Christian Fiction publishing company. This came as such a surprise to me since the genre of Inspirational Fiction can be difficult to find books that interest our male patrons, as well as people like me who tend to be adrenaline junkies in their book selections.  So, if you are looking for a good read for yourself, your husband, or just looking for a new author who might get your blood pumping, check out this great read. It is one of the best cross-genre books that I have read… and believe me when I say, I have read a lot!
