John, Paul, George and Ben
February 17, 2011
With Presidents' Day right around the corner, it's always fun for a little dive into the history books. But for those of you that are trying to appeal to a younger audience (or just don't have the attention span for a 200 page book with only few pictures yourself), have I got the book for you!
John, Paul, George & Ben by Lane Smith is a witty and fun take on some of our founding fathers as children in a book fittingly geared for children of all ages.
Take a look at how little Benjamin Franklin handed out wise advice, how Paul Revere's loud voice wasn't just for letting us know the Redcoats were on the way, and how John Hancock has always had a large signature.
And speaking of our presidents, it also lets us see young George Washington in that infamous cherry tree incident and young Thomas Jefferson, who has always had a habit of pursuing his independence.
