The Jackson County 4-H Fair
July 05, 2012
The Jackson County 4-H Fair will be taking place at the Grain Valley Community Center from July 11 to July 14. The fair opens to the public on July 13 starting at 9:00 a.m. The public can enjoy tours running from 9:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The ham judging will be at 4:00 p.m. and will be followed by the ham auction.
The fair is also having its Family Fun Night and carnival on July 13. The carnival runs from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Throughout the day, there will be rabbits, amphibians, reptiles, hamsters, chickens, and cows on display. At 3:00 p.m., 4-H participants will be competing in an archery, air rifle, and air pistol contests. 4-H is a wonderful program to be involved in as a family. There are many options and interests; it's not just about animals.
Come check it out with your family.
