It's Time for Ghost Stories...
October 22, 2012
It's that time of year again when we start looking for stories that are spooky, scary, and creepy. Author Roald Dahl once commented, "The best ghost stories don’t have ghosts in them. At least you don’t see the ghost. Instead, you see only the result of his actions." This year, you can find all kinds of new ghost stories to tell your friends and family by using our World Folklore and Folklife database. There, you can read such frightening stories as:
- The Stolen Liver
- The Vanishing Hitchhiker
- The Deacon of Myrká
- The Cat of Norrhult
Also, don't forget to stop by the Red Bridge Branch to pick up a book by your favorite ghost story author!!
