It's SO Fun to be Fancy!

Fancy Nancy is just a little girl who likes fancy words, fancy clothes, and fancy manners. She loves to put fancy embellishments (that’s fancy for decoration) in her hair, and she’s so very clever and endearing. She also stars in a series of books for children by Jane O’Connor. There are many Fancy Nancy titles available through MCPL.

Dawnna Morris presents a series of programs based on these popular children’s books. She visited the Buckner Branch, and we had an astronomical (that’s fancy for really big) good time! The kids got to play dress up and parade around with a banana on their head and everything. We had so much fun, I think my face was radiating with myalgia (I think that’s fancy for my face hurt) from smiling so much.
