Are you looking for something to do after a busy week? Come join us in Smithville, Missouri for our Hot Summer Night series of free concerts. That's right! Every Friday night in the month of August in the Ali Kemp Memorial Stage & Community Courtyard in Smithville's Downtown Heritage District from 6:00 to 10:30 p.m., there will be a free concert along with other activities for the whole family to enjoy. Here's a listing of some of the fun things we have going on.

We attended your Hot Summer nights in Smithville and really had a wonderful time...
Some of our family were also able to attend and made it a great nite of fun and enjoyment.
Enjoyed getting to see the emergency vehicles and the kids loved being able to actually get in them!!
The BAND was wonderful...free ice cream...food prices were great!! And the SHS Cheer girls made the kids happy with the Glow Necklaces...!!! BIG HIT!! And Free Footballs for all the kids...!!!

Aug. 12th Hot Summer Nights
I really enjoyed hot summer nights on Aug. 12th however I was surprised to see a dance studio from Gladstone performing. Gladstone? in Smithville? It would of been nice to see some kids from our local dance studio or gymnastics facility here in town. Or, perhaps martial arts demos from Smithville. I am not sure why we are asking schools from other cities to perform at hot summer nights before asking our own businesses. It would be nice to keep the smithville kids in smithville!

It is upsetting that an advertised community sponsored event brings in outside businesses to participate! If the sponsors of this event really cared about promoting Smithville businesses and supporting our community, they would make sure all involved were a part of our community!
