It's Christmas Time! Fun Songs and Rhymes to Share with Your Little Ones...
November 27, 2012
Christmas is only 4 weeks away! But before then, we’ll have fun singing and reading books as we countdown to the magical day of opening presents! Here are some fun songs we’ll be singing: Ring the Bells to "London Bridges" and it goes like this:
"Ring the bells it's Christmas time, Christmas time, Christmas time
Ring the bells it's Christmas time, Merry Christmas time!"
(Additional verses are: Play the drums, Tap the sticks, and Clap your hands).
A fun rhyme to say is Two Little Candy Canes...
"Way up high in the Christmas tree, two little candy canes were smiling at me
So I shook that tree as hard as I could and down came the candy canes, mmm, mmm good!" (Rub tummy)
Be sure to give the children candy canes to hold while doing this rhyme!
One more song is called Let’s All Do a Little Clapping to the tune of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"...
"Let’s all do a little clapping, let’s all do a little clapping,
Let’s all do a little clapping and spread Christmas cheer!"
(Additional verses are Jumping and Twirling).
