Introducing...The Kindle!

September 29, 2011

The Kindle is the big daddy of the eReader world. Now, I am biased as I received a Kindle for my birthday in April, but I think the hype is well deserved. Now that eBooks are available through OverDrive, I am even happier. The process to download eBooks is actually minus a few steps and easier with the Amazon/Kindle step up. Since we have people interested, I thought I would list some benefits:

1. ebooks are delivered wirelessly - meaning no cords, computer software, or Adobe. You still need to go through OverDrive, but it is very easy.
2. Everything filters through your Amazon account - meaning a list of all ebooks (checkouts and purchases) can be found in the same place.
3. Lending ebooks can actually be removed from the Kindle and returned early through Amazon.

I know many other people who have all the different forms of the eReader, and I am sure they would recommend theirs. I like the Kindle, it suits me perfectly. Whatever you decide, I strongly encourage you to check out the eBooks. I am a technology nerd, and there is nothing I like better than a new toy. Next on my list, the iPad.

Happy Reading Friends!
