Interview with a Parkville Teen Artist

February 21, 2012

Following is an interview with a Parkville teen artist who has been a regular at the monthly PV Anime Movie Night for the past year. This interview was conducted by two PV Teen Advisory Board members.

Who are you?
Terrell

Where do you go to school?
Park Hill South High School

How did you get started with your drawing?
It was natural for me. I've doodled in notebooks for as long as I can remember.

How would you describe your artwork?
It's in the anime/manga style. I like it because it's different, and I almost always use this style.

What would you like to do with your art?
Someday, I'm planning to make comic strips. I've definitely thought about selling my art.

Have you taken any art classes that have helped you?
Yes. I've taken design and drawing, graphics, and print making.

What do you plan to do in the future?
I'd like to teach art or maybe be an author/illustrator.

What else should people know about you and your art?
My experiences inspire what I create. If you want to check out my stuff, I put it up on deviantart.com under CometTail. I try to post at least one journal a week there and put up my new artwork as I get it finished.

Thanks Terrell for sharing your amazing artwork and some cool insights into your life! And, thanks Aliceson and Christina for taking the time to interview Terrell!
