I'm a Gleek

December 14, 2011

I have a confession to make...I'm a Gleek. The show that makes my husband curl up in a ball (he has an aversion to musicals) is my pride and joy. Yesterday's Christmas episode was classic, with Kurt and Blaine hosting a swinging soire with their friends from McKinley High, complete with Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. The show tackles serious issues like teen pregnancy, bullying, and finding your place. The combination of real-life topics and carefree music work together to educate and entertain you.

What I really enjoy are the witty exchanges between Coach Sue and Mr. Shue. You'll find some of my favorites below:

  1. I thought I smelled cookies wafting from the ovens of the little elves that live in your hair.
  2. Christmas is a time for forgiveness. I have decided to forgive you for having no talent and ruining the American songbook, one mash-up at a time.
  3. Sue [eating a piece of broccoli]: When I showed this to Brittany, she whimpered and thought I cut down a small tree where a family of gummy people lived.

Tune in Tuesday evenings to catch the latest episode of Glee on Fox. To get your Glee fix between shows, check out everything Glee at the library!

Gleeks Unite!

I just want to say that I love this post. And I especially love number one on the list of your favorite Sue quotes. She is so hilarious and mean...love it!

That was one of my favorite quotes of hers as well. Bahah.

Thank you for admitting that you are a Gleek! We need to stick together!
