"I'm Bored...There's Nothing To Do"

If you have heard this around your house lately (or maybe even uttered those words yourself), then here are some ideas for you!  Okay, I know you see it coming – a shameless plug for you to check out all the great activities and programs offered at Colbern Road Branch and other MCPL branch locations!  Since you’re reading this blog, you are probably already taking advantage of your “FREE” library.  Allow me to suggest you consider a plan to discover Missouri.

A quick online catalog subject search for Missouri guidebooks will produce 130 hits of books on entertainment, KC guides for kids, hiking, tent camping, curiosities, Civil War sites, natural wonders, KC metro bike trails, etc.  Don’t’ stop there, though!  Take a look at http://www.visitmo.com/ for a whole year’s worth of events going on in the great state of Missouri – festivals, concerts, fishing tournaments, exhibits, and a myriad of other activities; even a photo contest!   Be sure to click on my favorite feature, “Spring Trip Ideas”.  Don’t let boredom torture you – go for the experience!
