If I Were the Director of Libraries

We at MCPL have a history of great leaders in the position of the Director of Libraries. Our sincerest condolences are extended to the family of our former director, John W. Ferguson. Mr Ferguson came to work for MCPL in 1964, became the Director in 1981 and held the position until his retirement in 1998. Our current Director, Dick Wilding is retiring soon and Steve Potter will be assuming the position after his departure. We anticipate a smooth transition and look forward to the leadership he will provide.

So, my thought is; do you, my fine virtual friends, have any words of advice or wisdom to provide for our new Director? I'll ask that you be kind and thoughtful in your reply. Let's make this fun.
