I Love Mysteries!

April 26, 2012

Let me introduce you to my friends whom I've visited recently: Abby Knight, Claire Malloy, and Maisie Dobbs.

No, they're not authors but main characters in some of my favorite mystery series. I don't like blood or violence and have a list of thirty-four authors I've found through the MCPL system. These fit my criteria.

Just recently, I went down the list and typed in the authors' names to see if there were new titles soon to be released. I hit the jackpot and found more than twelve that I hadn't read. Since I always have a book ready to be read, I put new and forthcoming books on hold. Because there are multiple copies on order, I oftentimes get one when they first come in.

Here are some of my favorites: Jennifer Chiaverini, Sonoma Rose; Laura Childs, Agony of the Leaves; Kate Collins, To Catch a Leaf; Joanne Fluke, Cinnamon Roll Murder; Joan Hess, Deader Homes and Gardens; Leslie Meier, Chocolate Covered Murder; Sara Rosett, Mimosas, Mischief and Murder; Denise Swanson, Murder of a Creped Suzette;  and Jacqueline Winspear, Elegy for Eddie.

Time to curl up with a cup of coffee and a new book. Happy sleuthing!
