Hunger Games Havoc!
March 20, 2012
This Saturday, March 24th at 2:00 p.m., we will be having, without a doubt, one of the most awesome teen library programs ever, anywhere, in all of library history!!! I speak of Hunger Games Havoc, a giant celebration of all things Hunger Games in honor of the release of the movie this Friday. We invite all teens, whether you've read all the books 25 times or are just deciding to pick up a copy for the first time, (get on the waitlist for a copy from the library here) to join us at this epic event!
It will be an afternoon filled with challenges including Hunger Games Trivia, a cupcake decorating contest, and breathtaking physical feats of strength. Come prepared to match wits with your fellow competitors! There will be prizes galore, and of course, refreshments will be served. You never know what might win, so be prepared for anything! Rumor has it that the judges may even award additional points for arriving at the party in costume. So if you've ever had the urge to deck yourself out in the eccentric style of the Capitol or recreate the fashion magic of Cinna, this is the perfect opportunity! Don't forget to sign up!
May the odds be ever in your favor!

Planned by PLMS Students!
I was in such a rush to get this blog posted that I forgot to mention that a wonderful group of teens at Pleasant Lea Middle School helped me plan this entire program out! They did an excellent job, and rest assured that all of the games and activities have been given their teen stamp of approval, so it will definitely be a very fun day! Thank you PLMS Library Club and Mrs. Baker, you guys are awesome!!
