Humbug Day
December 18, 2012
December 21 is Humbug Day, which is a good excuse to get rid of pent up holiday frustrations. Even for people who love the holiday season, things can get stressful. There’s the money you pour into buying all those gifts for less than grateful relatives and friends. There’s excruciating Christmas music on the radio and in a lot of department stores. There are the Christmas parties and family get-togethers, for which attendance is not optional.
I recently stumbled across a book called Christmas Sucks by Joanne Kimes. It’s chock-full of advice on how to cope with the holiday season, and it’s amusing as well. So, cope with Christmas any way you can. And remember, it’s just once a year.
