Homeschoolers @ the Library

MCPL now has a new webpage for homeschool information (Homeschoolers @ the Library is the new name for Discovery Club). The webpage includes information on events and online resources. The Raytown Branch will host two events: Arctic Express November 10 and This Your New Year on December the 8th.

All homeschool programs at the Raytown Branch are on the second Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Under Online Resources, there are three sections beneficial to helping homeschooling families: Homework Help for Kids, Homework Help for Teens, and Homeschooling Web Resources.

A good resource for kids and teens with their homework is Live Homework Help from Tutor.com. Tutors are available from noon to midnight, seven days a week. They have several different sections to help people of all ages. They have Students Center, College Center, Adult Education Center, Career Center, Proof Point Writing Center, and Skills Center Resource Library. The Skills Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Skills Center includes: Homework Resources, Test Prep Resources, and Career Resources.
