Homemade Hats!
January 19, 2012
Our storytime kids had a great time making hats from newspapers and then decorating them. They were so proud of them that they even agreed to pose for this picture! Our books centered on hats blowing away, so as they left the building, they were holding on to theirs with all their might. I am happy to report they all made it safely to their vehicles with the hats on their heads.
The stories were certainly appropriate with the windy days we have had this winter. Here are two of the books we read: Where's Mary's Hat by Stephane Barroux and Who Took the Farmer's Hat? by Joan L. Nodset. Perhaps, you will want to read them too.
