Holiday Cooking

October 29, 2010

I loved the holiday seasons growing up. Not just because of the promise of new presents, but also because of all the yummy cookies, candies, and other delectable treats that we got to sample all month long. Then on the big day, trays of cookies, candies, chocolates, and cakes would be placed on the counter for us to graze through for the next week.

Now that I am an adult with my own home, this is something I have sorely missed, but have just realized, "Wait, I have a kitchen. Why am I not creating the atmosphere I so loved when growing up? This could be a wonderful tradition to uphold. With my own twist of course!" So, I promptly began sifting through our many wonderful cookbooks and found an amazing collection of holiday cooking for everyone. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanzaa were all available for me to sift through.

So, why not prepare a special holiday season that not only you but your family and friends will remember. Check out the cookbook section at your local library, and pick your favorite book to help you make this season unforgettable.
