Hidden Gems
June 18, 2012
Organizing and shelving materials at the Library are a part of my daily work routine. Working as a Library Page allows me access to many, many books and AV items that I might not be aware of otherwise.
One fantastic book I happened to come across was returned to our Library by a customer. The title of the book was Who The Hell Is Pansy O'Hara?: The Fascinating Stories Behind 50 of the World’s Best Loved Books. The title, I must admit, had me intrigued. This book has several pages devoted to each author and tells such interesting, true facts about the authors and their inspirations behind writing their well-loved novels. Some of the authors included in this book are Mary Shelley, Margaret Mitchell, Stephen King, Mark Twain, and Ian Fleming, just to name a few. I didn’t know much about these authors and their personal lives, so I found it quite an interesting book to read.
If you haven’t read this book yet, take it home and give it a try. It’s always so cool to find those hidden gems sitting on the Library shelves just waiting to be discovered. I am so glad I found this one.
