Haunted Kansas City
October 26, 2010
While working at the North Independence Branch temporary location (the Old Independence Regional Hospital), I've witnessed some eerie unexplainable things. Not sure what it is, but I'm sure of one thing, it's fun! I'll have to admit some of it has been joke playing on each other, but just when I think I've been had, something out-of-the-ordinary happens. Fingers point, laughter hangs in the air, and a chorus rings out, "I didn't do it". So, you'll understand if the weekend read, Haunted Kansas City, Missouri by Angela Cox, was right up my alley, right up my back-yard haunted alley.
This book takes the reader on a haunted tour of the Kansas City area, so of course, you want to play along. Union Station, Majestic Steakhouse (great Jazz, great food), The Old Jackson County Jail, Truman Home, Yeater Hall at UCM in Warrensburg, and The Elms Resort and Spa are just a few hot spots.
By the way, did I mention I'll be at the Elms Resort and Spa this weekend ghost chasing at the Monster Ball? If I'm not back, come looking....
Have a safe and happily haunting Halloween.
