Author, Agatha Christie was born Agatha May Clarissa Miller on September 15, 1890 in Devon, England.
Two of her most memorable characters were from her detective novels; Hercule Poirot, a retired Belgian police officer, and Miss Jane Marple, an elderly spinster in the quaint English village of St. Mary Mead. She has written over 66 novels, numerous short stories and screenplays. Several of her works were made into successful feature films, the most notable being Murder on the Orient Express.
