Gods of the Past

When I was a child, I was fascinated by Greek and Roman mythology. I did not know that these Gods were part of two of the most important civilizations. For the Raytown Central Middle School book club in November, we are reading The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan. This book series is a continuation of the popular Percy Jackson series.

These books are about the children of the Gods, which are called demigods. The Lost Hero, The Son of Neptune, and The Mark of Athena are all books that deal with Jason Grace and his friends, Piper and Leo. If you are interested in other books about retellings of Greek myths, try The Everneath by Brodi Ashton, The Goddess Test by Amiee Carter, and Of Poseidon by Anna Banks.
