Give Thanks
November 20, 2012
Thanksgiving is this week. Most of us are running around like chickens with their heads cut off so we can make turkeys with their heads cut off, but maybe we should slow down just for a minute and stop worrying about headless birds. Thanksgiving is, after all, a time to take a breath and give thanks.
What are you most thankful for this year? I’m thankful for a day off work, that Vampire Diaries is still on TV, and that I have four extra bucks to buy a Peppermint Mocha at Starbucks; but there are more important things to be thankful for. I guess what I’m most grateful for is my husband and our baby dogs, the fact that we both still have our jobs, and that we have families that are near and dear to our hearts.
What are you thankful for? Let’s start a list so we can look at all the good things in our lives and, for just a moment, put our troublesome, stressful thoughts aside.
