Getting Fit By Aiming High
April 19, 2012
5k, 10k, marathon, triathlon, oh my! It’s getting to be that time of year again when everyone seems to be using an athletic event to raise money or encourage fitness. This year I plan to challenge myself with a few races, including a triathlon. People may think I am crazy for committing to training for a race that includes swimming, biking, and running, but I like to think I am up for the challenge. I have armed myself with books on how to train and prepare for a triathlon. All from my local library! Challenge yourself this year and make a goal of trying something new with your fitness. If you need some help finding an event, check out Active.com. Whether it be a 1 mile walk for charity or a full Iron Man, your library can provide you with great information on how to get ready for your challenge!
