Get Your Geek on at the Con

Many moons ago, I lived in San Diego, which is home to one of the biggest Comic Conventions IN THE WORLD: Comic Con. I know what you are thinking…COMICS? This is not just a Comic Convention. This is a gathering of gamers, movie buffs, authors/illustrators, animators, directors, movie casts, and geekness taken to whole other level (see picture above (forgive me Terry Pratchett fans)).

This year you could have seen everything from the cast of Doctor Who, to the your favorite authors such as Christopher Paolini, Brandon Sanderson, or Gail Carriger. If you were really lucky, you might see your favorite author just wandering around the Comic Con. My favorite author and blogger Patrick Rothfuss was at the Comic Con this year. He was not on a panel or signing autographs; he was just enjoying the Con like everyone else. 

The Comic Con, sadly, has ended for this year. However, you can check it out next July because everyone should get their geek on at least once in their life, and Comic Con is the perfect place to do it.
