A Furry Friend Visits Grandview
November 04, 2010
A sea of red welcomed a very special visitor to the Grandview Branch a couple weeks ago. We were pleased to host an appearance by Dan Meers, known better to most people as his alter-ego, KC Wolf.
The audience enjoyed a video presentation of KC Wolf's "Greatest Hits" before Dan spoke about his life and career as a professional mascot, as well as the importance of reading and lifelong learning. He treated the crowd to every wolf's favorite story, The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka, after which he took questions and then signed autographs and posed for pictures in costume.
Everyone had a good time, even some of KC Wolf's youngest fans like Taryn Floyd and her brothers, Tanner Floyd and Trystan Floyd, all of Raytown, Missouri. The Grandview Branch was glad to be able to host the evening's events and we are looking for to KC Wolf's next visit.
