F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

November 21, 2011

"I’ll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour. I’ll be there for you, like I’ve been there before. I’ll be there for you cause you’re there for me too..." Are you singing along yet?

If you’re like me, you’ve got the Friends intro scenes scrolling through your head, and you’re ready to see what’s happening at Central Perk. I am, If you can’t tell, a huge fan of the series, and I find myself quoting Phoebe (that’s P, as in Phoebe, H as in heobe, O as in oebe, E, as in ebe, B, as in bebe, and E as in...Ello there mate!) and Chandler (Could he be any more funny?) constantly.

After watching for more years than I care to admit, (and still catching it twice a night on reruns) I have found that Friends holds the answer to many of life’s questions...

*Where is the T.V. Guide? It's been delivered to Miss Chanandler Bong.
*Why are you upset with me? We were on a break!
*What do you do when you lose a blue fingernail in the quiche? Buy more stick-on fingernails!
*What are you making for Thanksgiving? A trifle...what’s not to like? Custard, good. Jam, good. Meat, good.

That said, next time you find yourself in a pickle, just ask "What would Rachel do?", and let your friends guide you. And don’t forget, you can always catch up with the series on DVD, which is in the MCPL catalog.
