Found: a Great New Author
January 05, 2012
It’s exciting to read about quilting references. It’s also exciting to learn about a new author. With Sandra Dallas, you can have both. In all the books I’ve read by her, there are references to quilting as well as themes of loyalty, friendship and human dignity. Also included are women characters who are very strong and determined to better their lives.
A journalism graduate of the University of Denver, Sandra Dallas began her career as a reporter with Business Week. She covered the Rocky Mountain region for 25 years where she began writing non-fiction books. One is called The Quilt That Walked to Golden.
In 1990, she began writing fiction and has published ten novels including my favorites: The Bride’s House, The Chili Queen, Tallgrass, and Alice’s Tulips. Sandra Dallas is not a new author—just new to me. If you are looking for an author with great stories and some quilting references, give one of her books a try.
