The Flyaway Blanket
September 20, 2012
The Flyaway Blanket by Allan Peterkin is a book that reinforces how important a favorite blanket or toy may be to a child. The story begins with Jake and his mother hanging the laundry to dry and then taking a nap. While they are sleeping, Jake's blanket gets pulled off the clothes line and carried away by the wind.
The blanket flies past birds, cows, rabbits, and dogs before the wind changes directions and brings it back where it belongs, to Jake and his mother. This is an adorable story with colorful illustrations your child will love.
