Flights of Fancy
May 07, 2012
The MCC Flights of Fancy Kite Festival took place on April 21, 2012. The wind left a bit to be desired, but plenty of kites still made it up in the air. There was a 100 foot long squid and a thirty foot kitty cat (the owner is a Kansas State fan). I personally enjoyed a thirst-inducing walking taco salad (Fritos covered in various taco toppings) and a thirst-quenching cherry limeade while enjoying the beautiful sunny weather. Kids of all ages enjoyed flying their own smaller kites on a huge field surrounded by fellow flyers. We were able to help many people with our eReaders services and provide information on our 6 in 12 program. In short, we had a blast and we can't wait to see you guys next year!
Please enjoy these photographs from the event.
