A Fishy Tale
April 06, 2012
There are so many fun things to see and do in Kansas City, but it’s the newest that has so many excited.
First, we had Worlds of Fun. Then Oceans of Fun was added to our local list of excursions. Now, it looks like we will have two water-worlds right here in Kansas City. The aquarium is just about ready for the grand opening.
The Kansas City Zoo has been around for a long time, and with it more and more expansions of exhibits and some new global arenas have been gained. Finally, we are going to get a new dream world—the Zoo’s sibling, also known as the Sea Life Aquarium. The new Sea Life Aquarium, as well the new Legoland Discovery Center, will open on April 29.
What better time to get excited about the ocean and all of the great books about its diverse sea life? We have titles, not only for children, but also for adults to gain knowledge and recognize some of what they might see once our wonderful new attraction opens. MCPL has a generous selection of books and videos, such as the breathtaking Blue Planet series.
If you aren’t sure how you’d like to begin your ocean exploration, you can always ask a librarian!
