Fiber Artists Showcase

We are proud to have several local fiber artists setting up their spinning wheels, looms, flax spinning tools, fiber, raw fleece, and finished products at the Fiber Artists Showcase on May 5 in the Smithville Branch. Several knitters and spinners will also join us to knit, spin, crochet, and learn different methods to add to their toolbox and raise their skill levels. We have teen guilds, grandmother/granddaughter teams of knitters, and folks who raise their own sheep, alpacas, and angora goats.
    
Come join us as we learn about fiber preparation, carding, picking, spinning, bobbin lace, and the care and feeding of the animals themselves. Our fiber artists will be demonstrating their talents as they answer questions. Hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5.
