Farmers' Almanac Revisited
August 30, 2011
Last November, I decided to see just how accurate the Farmers’ Almanac was in regards to our weather. It has been nearly a year, so I figured it was time to check it again - this time for the month of September.
Keep your umbrellas handy, it’s going to be a rainy month here in Missouri! We’re predicted to have a pleasant Labor Day weekend, with scattered storms from the fourth through the seventh. Fair weather and clear skies are in store from the eighth through the fifteenth. Severe weather arrives on the sixteenth and lasts through the nineteenth. Cool weather and chances for showers follow the storms for the next week, and September ends with weather that is referenced as "fair and pleasant."
Will the predictions come true? I aim to find out – and remember to keep my umbrella close at hand.
