Family History Library Digitization Project
December 21, 2010
The Midwest Genealogy Center has an on-going cooperative project with the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah to digitize many of the MGC’s copyright-free materials. As of the posting of this blog, nearly fifty of our library’s books have been digitized and placed on the FamilySearch.org, including titles such as Imperial Kansas City, 1900, Portraits of Eminent Americans Now Living, and Men Who Are Making Kansas City. Many more of our books are currently in the process of being prepared to go online. To find the digital books, you can go to the MGC webpage and click on "Genealogy Web Resources" in the left column. Select "Books", then click on the "Family History Archives" link. That will take you to a search page where you can search all of the digitized books, including those digitized here at MGC as well as elsewhere.
